I'm late to the party on this one as I've just discovered Chris' podcast and it seems as though he recorded his last episode about 4 months ago. BUT it's still great. I've started from Ep01 and am about 7 episodes in now and I get a nugget or 2 from every listen. As a Documentary Filmmaker who is very much on my own with my projects, this is a wonderful way to know that there's more of me out there. Thanks Chris!

I love how The Documentary Life combines commentary and interviews of doc filmmakers. This podcast provides practical advice and stories (these are the best) of real-life experiences on the quest to make docs.

I’m not involved in documentary filmmaking at all (other than watching) but l LOVE to listen to Chris Parkhurst’s The Documentary Life. I highly recommend his film “Journey to Kathmandu” as well as his work on the doc “Bomb Hunters”. I am a non-tech oriented old guy, but have been able to utilize some of his ideas for multi-stream fundraising in general, as well as in my freelance work as a musician. Great job, Chris!

I really have almost no time to listen to podcasts (or anything else), but this show is absolutely appointment listening for those drives to the ocean. The host obviously prepares meticulously and the guests are super-relevant and at the top of their game. I highly recommend!
